Obtaining a Background Checking overseas

What does it consist in?

To obtain at the Consulate of Chile overseas some of the Background Checkings issued by the Civil Registry and Identification Service. The Consul stamps an Approval on the mentioned document.

Where can it be requested?

At the Consulates of Chile overseas corresponding to the place of residency of the petitioner.

Who is it addressed to?

Chilean citizens overseas.

Requirements

• Identity Card of the petitioner (in good conditions).
• If requested by a third person, this will have to identify itself with an Identity Card and produce a special Power of Attorney of the holder for this purpose.

Result

Background Checking issued digitally at the Civil Registry System and legalized at the Consulate of Chile overseas.

Observations

• Additional records may be requested during the application procedures.
• Enquiries on procedure fees must be made at the Consulate.
• Validity of the document goes between 30 to 60 days pursuant to the regulations of the country.
