Minister Moreno welcomes Latin American diplomats
This evening, Foreign Minister Alfredo Moreno welcomed at the Foreign Ministry a group of diplomats from Latin America and the Caribbean, who are taking the course “Regional Economic Relations in the Decade of Emerging Economies,” organized by ECLAC and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP).
The course theme is international economy from the regional perspective and will cover, inter alia, various aspects such as the new surveys conducted by the World Trade Organization (WTO), the dynamics of the G-20 and the new topics of the relationship between Asia-China, Europe and the U.S. with Latin America. The course will also discuss global scenarios, the current financial system and will analyze sub-regional integration processes, including the Caribbean.
This academic activity is carried out as part the program “Capacity Building at the Ministries of Foreign Affairs in Latin America and the Caribbean,” which are a series of courses for senior diplomats from the region, aimed at improving democratic governance.
