Consular Assistance in case of accidents or illness of Chilean nationals overseas

What does is consist in?

The consular officers and/or the Social Action Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will provide assistance to our Chilean nationals by means of procedures before the relevant authorities of the receiver State or from charity institutions available in their circumscription.  Also, the Consulate provides information concerning the situation of the Chilean nationals to their relatives.

Where can it be requested?

At the nearest Consulate of Chile to applicant’s location place overseas.

The Social Action Department will provide, from Chile, support and eminent information to relatives.

Who is it addressed to?

Chilean nationals overseas.

Result

To provide assistance and support to Chilean nationals who have had an accident or are suffering from an illness overseas.

Fees

There might be an associated cost depending on the documents or needs presented.

Observations

Depending on the kind of application, additional documents may be requested in order to carry out and/or speed up the service.
