Mr. Enrique Barriga Larraín

Public Administrator with a Master's Degree in International Humanitarian Law and Penal Justice from the University Obertat de Cataluña of Barcelona, as well as a Technical Specialist Degree on the European Union Organization from the same institution. Among his previous postings are Sweden (2010-2015), Germany (2003-2007), Denmark (1996-2001), Malaysia (1992-1993), Australia (1989-1991), Kenya (1983-1987) and Bolivia (1982-83).
At the Ministry of Foreign Affairs he's worked at Consular Affairs (1980-81), at the Diplomatic Academy (1987-1988), the Asia/Pacific Directorate (1994-1995), the European Affairs Directorate (2001-2002), the South American Directorate (2008-2010) and finally the Middle East and African Directorate (2015-2016). Furthermore, he has represented Chile as a delegate at various international conferences. He speaks fluent English and French, and conversational German.
He has been decorated by the governments of Denmark and Poland, as well as by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with the Service Medal for time served at 20, 30, and 35 year career.
